Professionals Start Here

For schools, IEP teams, clinicians and behavior teams supporting a Deaf Autistic student.

What usually brings you here

A student is signing, or should be, and no one on the team can say how much language they actually have. Behavior is escalating and the plan is not holding. The IEP says language access, and nobody can describe what that looks like on a Tuesday afternoon. Autism Map Maker works the space where Deaf education and autism support are supposed to meet and usually do not.

Read first

The free guide library covers language deprivation, school survival, meltdown decoding, and the sensory and regulation work underneath all of it. Every guide is free to download.

Bring us in

Workshops, staff training and professional development, delivered in SimCom or, for fully signing environments, ASL. A sliding scale is available for community organizations.

Work one student

Consultation on a specific student, team or plan. We read what you already have, look at what is actually happening, and give you something usable rather than a philosophy. Remote where remote works, on-site when the work needs eyes in the room.

What we will not do

We do not write compliance-based behavior plans. We do not recommend taking a communication tool out of a student's hand without putting a more effective one into it. We do not treat an interpreter in the corner as language access. Capacity is the goal, which means your team should need us less over time, not more.

Start with a free one-hour call

Every engagement begins with a free one-hour intake call, so we can confirm the work is a match before anyone pays for anything.
