If you teach a signed language, we want you on this map. We're building a directory that connects Deaf and hard-of-hearing children and their families to Deaf tutors and mentors they can actually reach — and we mean tutors of every signed language our communities carry, not one "standard." We are actively seeking teachers of American Sign Language (ASL), Black American Sign Language (BASL), Langue des signes québécoise (LSQ), British Sign Language (BSL), Auslan (Australian Sign Language), and Plains Sign Language — the Indigenous "Hand Talk" of North America. Each of these is a full, living language with its own grammar, history, and community, and each deserves to be taught by the people who hold it. By welcoming all of them, we reach more students and more families — and we help protect cultural signed languages that segregation, colonization, and one-size-fits-all schooling have worked to erase. If that is the language you carry, please share your information below. We would be honored to help families find you.
